Gravity can be a funny thing. Just like love, it draws the most unlikely people together.

Shuichi Shindou is an up-and-coming lyricist and the vocalist of his band Bad Luck. He and his friend Hiro have been signed onto NG and are trying to record their first single. There's just one problem: Shuichi is stumped for a song. None of the love songs he writes are any good, and its driving their already stressed out manager up the wall. Hiro suggests that the single Shuichi just needs to get a girlfriend, to get him into the love groove, but as he is out walking in the park one night, fate takes a decidedly different turn.

A gust of wind blows Shuichi's tentative lyrics away from him and into the path of Yuki Eiri, one of the most famous romance novelists in Japan. When the older man reads his words and insults them, Shuichi is absolutely crushed. However, there is something about Yuki Eiri gets under Shuichi's skin, and soon enough, the forces of gravity, and maybe love too, start their mysterious work.

Now, one year after all the dramatic and fateful events, Shuichi and Yuki are finally settling down into a, somewhat, comfortable life. That doesn't mean that Yuki Eiri isn't any less mean to his lover, and that doesn't mean Shuichi is any less passionate about anything. The struggle to be on top is consuming the lives of those involved and Bad Luck has to start watching their backs, as Taki Aizawa and ASK are back in action, gunning for the top spot once more. Not to mention, Nittle Grasper, now at the pinnacle of their career, and also in the running for the coveted top position. But with the signing of new talent to NG, things might just get a little harder for everyone; not to mention, there are those that would do anything to see one of those proud bands fall.
